Guru ka Darshan-Pakistan Yatra OVERVIEW- 8 day/7 night tour
Disclaimer : Exact time and sight-seeing for places may vary slightly, based on the time of the group to get ready; to be picked up/dropped off to and from the hotel, time spent at the Gurudwara’s and weather conditions.
Buffet open everyday 7-10am. 24/7 room service available at hotel.
10 am –Yatris will all arrive either at Atari border by this time on their own, or arrive at the Phagwara location by 7am, and the driver takes them to the Atari border at the Immigration Centre here. This process takes 30-45mins. After Immigration and Security clearance by the designated Officers, yatris get in the bus, which drops them to the Wagha border, Pakistan side at the Immigration centre. and the security checks Passports and Visas. This may take another 30-45 mins.
After all clearance, yatris walk into the Pakistan side and here the tour guide picks them up and yatris go to their designated hotel in Lahore.
At the hotel, yatris settle in their designated rooms and rest.
2 pm – Tour guide picks all yatris from the hotel and the the Guru ka Darshan yatra starts. Gurudwaras to visit this day are as follows.
- Dera Chaal-Bibi Nankiji da asthaan
- Singh -Singhnia da Gurudwara-Landa Bazaar
- Bhai Taru Singhji di khopri(samaad)
5-6 pm Tour guide drops yatris at the Anarkali bazaar for shopping and leisure here. Everyone has dinner at a hotel in the bazaar. Ones who want to rest after this, will be dropped off to the hotel, others can continue with their shopping.
By 9pm, the tour guide drops off all yatris back to the hotel.
Panja Sahib tour.
9 am –Tour guide takes all yatris towards Panja Sahib.This is at a distance of 400 kms., about a 4-hour journey. Tour around, have langar here and leave from the Gurudwara back towards the hotel between 3-4pm. Rest of the day is at leisure. Others who want to shop, will be taken to the Origa market.
By 9pm, the tour guide drops off all yatris back to the hotel.
Sachha Sauda + Nanka Sahib tour
Leave 9am towards Sachha Sauda Gurudwara. It is a 2hour drive from the hotel. Arrive 11am, make a 1-2hour tour and head towards Nanka Sahib, another 30-40 min. drive from here.
Arrive Nanka Sahib, have Langar parshada and tour around and leave at 5pm towards the hotel, another 2hour journey back.
Gurudwaras to visit at Nankana Sahib are as follows-
- Janmsthaan(birth place) of Baba Guru Nank Devji
- Bal Leela
- Patti Sahib
- Malji Sahib Gurudwara
- Kiara Sahib
- Panjvi(5th. Guru) patshahi
- Tambu Sahib-Rupee 20 langar place of Baba Nanak Devji
Ones who are tired and want to rest, will be dropped off at the Gurudwara and others can visit the Gulberg Liberty market.
By 9pm, the tour guide drops off all yatris back to the hotel.
Rori Sahib + Kartarpur Sahib
Leave hotel by 9am towards Rori Sahib, which is at a distance of about 50kms and will take us about an hour and half to arrive here. Stay here for about 2 hours. Have langar parshada.
Gurudwaras to see at Rori Sahib are-
- Rori Sahib
- Chakki Sahib
- Bhai Lalu da ghar
Then we head towards Kartarpur Sahib.
Kartarpur Sahib
Yatris spend about 3 hours here, have a bath in the holy Amrit jal and have langar.
Driver then picks everyone and they head towards the Liberty market for shopping.
Anyone who wants to rest, can be dropped off to the hotel, the rest can stay behind for shopping at the Origa market. They will be picked here at 10pm and dropped off to the hotel.
Journey back home to India.
10am- Tour guide picks all yatris and enroute to their journey back home, yatrismake darshan of a few more Gurudwaras.
- Guru Arjan Devji di Shaihidi da Gurudwara
- Guru Ram Dasji da asthaan-Chuna Mandi
- Maharajah Ranjit Singhji da Shahi Qila-also known as Lahore Qila.
- Malji Sahib Gurudwara
- Mia Meer da Maqbara
He then drops off everyone at the Wagha border. They go through Immigration and Security, which is about 30-45 mins. After this, a bus picks them from here and all are taken to the Atari check point. for another Immigration and Security, which takes about 30-45 mins.
By 9pm, the tour guide drops off all yatris back to the hotel.
Once all clearance, they are received by the same driver who dropped them and head towards the Phagwara location .From there, their families and relatives will take them back to their homes, just as they were dropped off before the start of their journey.
Others who made it on their own, will go back to their homes as they had arrived.
