Panja Sahib

Gurdwara Panja Sahib is a highly revered Sikh gurdwara located in Hasan Abdal, a town in the Punjab province of Pakistan. This gurdwara holds immense religious significance for Sikhs as it is associated with the life of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism

The Gurdwara Panja Sahib is an architectural marvel, with its large prayer hall, stunning domes, and intricate carvings. It also has a peaceful atmosphere, where pilgrims gather to pray, reflect, and take part in the Sikh practice of seva (selfless service).

The gurdwara has a sarovar (holy water tank) where devotees take a ritual dip as a symbol of spiritual cleansing.

Gurdwara Panja Sahib is an important pilgrimage destination for Sikhs. Pilgrims come from across the world, especially from India and other countries, to pay homage to Guru Nanak and witness the miraculous handprint.

The gurdwara is a central point for annual religious events, particularly Gurpurabs (the birth anniversaries of Guru Nanak), where thousands of devotees gather to participate in prayers, kirtan (devotional singing), and langar (community meal).

The gurdwara is not only a site for worship but also a place where the Sikh principles of service to humanity are practiced. Volunteers and pilgrims participate in the langar, providing free meals to all visitors, regardless of their background or religion.

The spirit of selfless service and equality is strongly emphasized at Gurdwara Panja Sahib, reflecting the core teachings of Guru Nanak.
